Bucket Authorization

Bucket Authorization

Bucket authorization is to authorize the VOD service to access audio and video resources in your OBS buckets. Then, VOD can transcode the files and take snapshots.

Notes

  • VOD only reads and writes resources in the authorized OBS bucket, but does not delete input files from the OBS bucket.
  • If bucket authorization is canceled, you cannot manage the files that have been synchronized to VOD and play these on the VOD console.
  • If incremental hosting has been configured for an OBS bucket, delete the incremental hosting configuration before canceling bucket authorization.
  • Incremental hosting and inventory hosting are not available for IAM users. You are advised to use a Huawei Cloud account for these two functions.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the VOD console.
  2. In the navigation pane, choose Audio and Video Hosting > Bucket Authorization.
  3. Click Authorize in the row containing your OBS bucket. Then VOD can read and write media files stored in the bucket.
  4. Configure incremental hosting and inventory hosting.
