Resetting the Application Password

Scenarios

You can reset the Dashboard login password for a Supabase AI application.

Keep your new login password secure to prevent security risks, potential attacks, and business losses.

Prerequisites

• You have registered a Huawei ID and enabled Huawei Cloud services.
• You can create an IAM user and user group on the IAM console and grant the user specific operation permissions, to perform refined management on Huawei Cloud. For details, see Using IAM Roles or Policies to Grant Access to RDS.
• You must use a login account assigned the rds:aiApplication:modifyPassword and rds:aiApplication:list actions.

Constraints

• Passwords cannot be reset for applications undergoing active operations. Wait until the operations complete.
• Application features are unavailable during the password reset process. Perform this operation during off-peak hours to avoid affecting peak-time workloads.
• If the application is abnormal, the password cannot be reset.
• If the hosted instance is abnormal, resetting the application password may fail.

Procedure

1. Log in to the RDS console.
2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region.
3. In the navigation pane, choose AI App Dev Platform.
4. On the AI App Dev Platform page, locate the target AI application and choose More > Reset Supabase App Password in the Operation column.

   Alternatively, click the application name to go to the Application Info page and click Reset Password.

5. In the displayed dialog box, enter a new password (ensure that it meets security requirements and avoid using weak passwords) and click OK to reset the AI application password.

6. Refresh the AI application list later and check the password reset result. If the application status is Normal, the password is reset.
