Changing the Database Port

Scenarios

You can change the database port of your GaussDB instance.

Precautions

  • The database port can be changed only for instances of version 2.0 or later.
  • Changing the port of an instance will reboot all nodes of the instance, during which services will be intermittently interrupted.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the management console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region and project.

  3. Click in the upper left corner of the page and choose Databases > GaussDB.
  4. On the Instances page, click the name of the target instance.
  5. In the Connection Information area on the Basic Information page, click in the Database Port field.

    • To submit the change, click .
      • In the displayed dialog box, click Yes to submit the change.
      • In the displayed dialog box, click No to cancel the change.
    • To cancel the change, click .

    The GaussDB database port ranges from 1024 to 39998 (excluding the following which are occupied by the system and cannot be used: 2378, 2379, 2380, 2400, 4999, 5000, 5001, 5100, 5500, 5999, 6000, 6001, 6009, 6010, 6500, 8001, 8002, 8003, 8004, 8005, 8006, 8007, 8008, 8009, 8010, 8015, 8097, 8098, 8181, 9090, 9100, 9180, 9187, 9200, 12016, 12017, 20049, 20050, 21731, 21732, 32122, 32123, 32124, 32125, 32126, and 39001).

  6. View the result of the change on the Basic Information page.
