Changing Yearly/Monthly Instances to Pay-per-Use

Scenarios

You can change the billing mode of a GaussDB instance from yearly/monthly to pay-per-use.

The pay-per-use billing mode takes effect only after the yearly/monthly subscription expires, and the auto-renew function will be invalid.

Changing the Billing Mode of a DB Instance from Yearly/Monthly to Pay-per-Use

1. Log in to the management console.
2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region and project.

   

3. Click in the upper left corner of the page and choose Databases > GaussDB.
4. On the Instances page, locate the yearly/monthly instance that you want to change to a pay-per-use instance and choose More > Change to Pay-per-Use in the Operation column.
5. On the displayed page, change the billing mode of the instance.
6. Wait until the billing mode is successfully changed and view and manage the instance on the Instances page.

   In the upper right corner of the instance list, click to refresh the list. The instance status will become Available and the billing mode will become pay-per-use after the change is complete.

Changing the Billing Mode of Multiple DB Instances to Pay-per-Use

Only yearly/monthly DB instances can be changed to pay-per-use.

The status of DB instances must be Available or Abnormal.

The pay-per-use billing mode takes effect only after the yearly/monthly subscription expires, and the auto-renew function will be invalid.

1. Log in to the management console.
2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region and project.

   

3. Click in the upper left corner of the page and choose Databases > GaussDB.
4. On the Instances page, select multiple yearly/monthly instances that you want to change to pay-per-use instances and click Change to Pay-per-Use above the instance list.
5. On the displayed page, change the billing mode of the instances.
6. Wait until the billing mode is successfully changed and view and manage the instances on the Instances page.

   In the upper right corner of the instance list, click to refresh the list. The instance status will become Available and the billing mode will become pay-per-use after the change is complete.
