Creating a Common Chart

Charts can help you present data analysis results in a clear and intuitive way. This section introduces different types of charts in large screens and their use cases, to help you in quickly selecting the appropriate chart for data presentation and display.

Prerequisites

Procedure

  1. Log in to the DataArts Insight console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner of the management console to select a region. Then, select an enterprise project in the upper right corner.
  3. On the top menu of the console, click Project. On the displayed My Projects page, click the name of the desired project.
  4. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Data Analytics > Large Screen. On the displayed page, click Create Screen in the upper right corner.
  5. The Common charts page shows common chart templates.
  6. Drag or click a chart template to the canvas area.
  7. In the data configuration area on the right, select a dataset.
  8. Select the required chart type and configure fields and styles.
  9. Once the large screen fields and style are configured, click Update in the lower part. Then, click Save and Publish or Save in the upper right corner of the page.

Chart Types and Description

Each chart has its use cases and data elements (fields that form the chart). The following describes the use cases, data elements, and examples of various charts.

Line Chart

Line Chart

Line charts are used to display the trend of data over equal time intervals.

Combination Chart

Combination charts support dual-axis display of data with different magnitudes, and support data display scenarios for conventional line and column chart combinations.

  • In a combination chart, the line chart can display continuous data that changes over time (based on commonly used ratios), making it ideal for displaying the trend of data over equal time intervals.
  • In a combination chart, the bar chart can compare the differences between various groups of data.

Class Axis/Dimension

Axis Value/Metric

Dual Y-Axis Combination Chart

Data of different magnitudes is displayed on two axes.

  • In a combination chart, the line chart can display continuous data that changes over time (based on commonly used ratios), making it ideal for displaying the trend of data over equal time intervals.
  • In a combination chart, the bar chart can compare the differences between various groups of data.

Secondary Axis Value/Metric

Step Line Chart

A step graph is a graphical representation of continuous data distribution.

Pie Chart

Pie Chart

A pie chart shows the proportion of each item's size to the total sum of all items in the data.

Class Axis/Dimension

Axis Value/Metric

Rose Chart

A rose chart displays comparisons between different data points and is particularly useful for categorical data.

Circular Progress Bar

A circular progress bar provides a visual representation of the progress of a specific indicator.

Radar Chart

A radar chart can display analyzed data or ratios, allowing you to easily check various data indicators and trends.

Bar Chart

Bar charts are useful for comparing differences between data groups and displaying changes in data over a period of time.

Horizontal Bar Chart

A horizontal bar chart is similar to a column chart, but displays data horizontally to allow for easy comparison of data sizes and differences between items.
