Creating a Project

DataArts Insight projects allow you to manage and isolate resources in different groups. Before using DataArts Insight to create charts, create a project. Then, you need to create data sources, dashboards, large screens, and data portals in the project. This section describes how to create a project.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the DataArts Insight console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner of the console to select a region and select an enterprise project from Enterprise Project in the upper right corner of the Workspace page.
  3. On the top menu, click Project. On the displayed page, click Create Project.

  4. Enter the project name, visible type, members, and description.
    • The project name can contain up to 50 characters. Only letters, numbers, parentheses (()), square brackets ([]), slashes (/), backslashes (\), vertical bars (|), and underscores (_) are allowed.
    • The description can contain a maximum of 512 characters.
    • A project is visible to only the creator and members selected during the project creation.
  5. After entering project information, click OK.
