Overview

A job is a collection of operations (atomic actions). A job can contain one or more operations, such as restarting ECSs and executing scripts.

Jobs are classified into public jobs and custom jobs. To help you quickly use COC automated O&M, COC provides public jobs. You can also create custom jobs based on your O&M scenarios to improve flexibility.

  • Public jobs: Public jobs are solutions for several common O&M scenarios. Job details are visible to all users. However, users are not allowed to add, modify, and delete public jobs.
  • Custom jobs: Custom jobs are created and managed by users. They include custom scripts, APIs, and process control. You can set global parameters for custom jobs, which can be customized or associated with the parameter center.

You can create, modify, clone, and delete public and custom jobs, and execute defined jobs on target instances. You can execute preset operation processes in batches and standardize them on target instances. Up to 100 job versions can be managed, meeting version iteration and backtracking requirements.

Setting Job Review Configurations

Review configurations: When creating or modifying a job, you can forcibly specify a shift or an individual user as the reviewer.

Creating a Job
  • You can customize atomic actions for custom jobs.
  • Public jobs are created by COC instead of users and are open to all users.

Modifying a Job
  • You can customize the job name, description, procedure, and parameter settings.
  • A new version record is automatically generated, and historical operation records are retained.

Executing a Job

You can execute custom jobs of the current tenant and change job versions.

Deleting a Job
  • You can delete a single custom job.
  • Deleting operations may pose risks and need to be confirmed to avoid mis-deletion.

Viewing the Job Service Ticket

After a job is executed, a service ticket record is generated to record the job execution result.
