Modifying a Recipient/Notification Group

When the information in an alarm notification group changes, you can add or remove recipients to or from the group, or change the notification methods of the notification group by modifying the notification protocols of the recipients. This helps you flexibly manage recipients and notification groups. For details about how to add and remove recipients, see Adding Recipients to a Notification Group and Removing a Recipient from a Notification Group.

This section describes how to rename a notification group and how to change the way of sending notifications to recipients.

Modifying a Recipient

  1. Log in to the Cloud Eye console.
  1. In the navigation pane, choose Alarm Management > Alarm Notifications.
  2. Click the Recipients tab, locate the recipient to be modified and click Modify in the Operation column.
  3. On the displayed page, modify the notification protocols.
  4. Click OK.

    The notification protocols of the recipient have been updated.

Modifying a Notification Group

  1. Log in to the Cloud Eye console.
  1. In the navigation pane, choose Alarm Management > Alarm Notifications.
  2. On the Notification Groups tab page, locate the target notification group, click next to its name, and rename the group.

  3. Click OK.

Removing a Recipient from a Notification Group

  1. Log in to the Cloud Eye console.
  1. In the navigation pane, choose Alarm Management > Alarm Notifications.
  2. On the Notification Groups tab page, click the name of the target notification group.
  3. To remove a single recipient, click Remove in the Operation column. To remove multiple recipients, select them and click Remove above the list.

    Removing a recipient from a notification group does not delete the recipient.

  4. In the displayed dialog box, click OK.
