Resource Suspension and Release

If your yearly/monthly resources have expired and not renewed, or if you are in arrears due to insufficient balance, your resources will enter a grace period. If the resources are not renewed or the outstanding amount is not paid off by the time the grace period ends, the resources will enter a retention period, during which the resources will be suspended. If the resources are not renewed or the outstanding amount is not paid off by the time the retention period ends, the stored data will be deleted and the resources will be released.

• A grace period is the time for you to renew yearly/monthly subscriptions or for you to settle outstanding amount caused by insufficient balance. During this period, some pay-per-use resources will be inaccessible, and new services are blocked. The grace period for Huawei Cloud (International) is 15 days.
• A retention period is the phase your resources will enter if your yearly/monthly subscriptions remain unrenewed or any outstanding amounts for pay-per-use resources are still unpaid when the grace period ends. During this period, the resources cannot be used, but the resource data stored will be retained. The retention period for Huawei Cloud (International) is 15 days.

Due to particularity of certain products (such as Message & SMS), different grace periods and retention periods may be applied. For details, see the corresponding product documentation.

For certain payment methods, Huawei Cloud has the right to review and adjust the expenditure quota, grace period, and retention period based on your historical expenditures, and payment records. The grace period will be changed if needed. It may be changed to zero days, meaning no grace period will apply. For details about expenditure quotas, see Viewing the Expenditure Quota.
