Setting the Password and Login Policies for Portal Users

In security settings, you configure password and login requirements for portal users, including password length, mandatory password changes at first login, and enabling captcha for repeated incorrect login attempts.

Portal User Security Settings

  1. Log in to the Huawei Cloud Astro Zero console and click Access Homepage. The application development page is displayed.
  2. Click in the upper left corner and choose Environments > Configuration Center.
  3. In the navigation pane, choose Security Settings.
  4. Modify parameters as required and click Save.

    • Password Length (characters): Specifies that the password must contain 2 to 30 characters.
    • Weak Password: Specifies whether users can use weak passwords.
    • Limit Reuse of Recent Passwords (Times): Restricts the number of recent passwords that users cannot reuse during password changes.
    • Mandatory password change for the first login: If this parameter is set to true, a password change during the initial login is required for new users.
    • Mandatory Password Change (Days): Specifies the interval after which users must update their passwords.
    • Max. Failures Before Captcha (Attempts): Specifies the number of incorrect login attempts before a captcha is required.
    • Max. Failures to Lock User (Attempts): Specifies the number of consecutive incorrect login attempts that result in account lockout.
    • Lock Duration (Minutes): Specifies the duration in minutes before a locked account is automatically unlocked.

      Portal users can change their passwords through the personal settings on the portal.
