Renewing an Instance

If your AAD instance is about to expire, to avoid impact on services, you can renew the subscription in either of the following ways:

  • Manual renewal: Manually renew the instance.
  • Auto-renewal: If enabled, the service renews automatically based on the renewal period you configured.

If auto-renewal is enabled for a resource, you can manually renew the resource at any time. After the manual renewal is successful, the auto-renewal is still valid, and the system deducts the fee seven days before the manually renewed resource expires. For details about auto-renewal, see Renewal Rules.

Prerequisites

Ensure that the account for which auto-renewal is to be enabled has the permissions of both the AAD FullAccess and BSS Administrator roles.

Enabling Auto-renewal

  1. Log in to the AAD console.
  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Advanced Anti-DDoS > Instances.
  3. In the row containing the desired instance, click Enable Auto-Renewal. The Enable Auto-Renewal page is displayed.
  4. Select a renewal period and specify the auto-renewal times.

  5. Click OK and enable auto-renewal as prompted.

Disabling Auto-renewal for an Instance

  1. Log in to the AAD console.
  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Advanced Anti-DDoS > Instances.
  3. Click Modify Auto-Renewal on the right of the instance. The Enable Auto-Renewal page is displayed.
  4. Set Renewal Option to Manual.
  5. Click OK.

Manual Renewal

  1. Log in to the AAD console.
  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Advanced Anti-DDoS > Instances.
  3. Click Renew on the right side of an instance card.
  4. On the Renew page, select a duration by which you want to renew the instance.
  5. Click Pay and complete the renewal as prompted.
