Are Resource Snapshots and Resource Change Notifications Dumped into the Same OBS Bucket?
Yes, they are dumped into the same OBS bucket.
When you are enabling or configuring the resource recorder, if you enable the data dump function and configure an OBS bucket, resource snapshots and resource change notifications will be periodically dumped into the configured OBS bucket.

Do I Need to Configure Both Topic and Data Dump When I Enable and Configure the Resource Recorder?
No. You can specify either Topic or Data Dump.
Why Can't I Receive a Notification After I Configured the Resource Recorder and the Resources Are Changed?
The possible causes are as follows:
- When you were configuring the resource recorder, you have not configured an SMN topic. To receive resource change notifications, configure Topic when you modify the resource recorder.
- When you were configuring the resource recorder, you have created an SMN topic. However, you have not added subscriptions to it and requested confirmations.

Why Are Resource Change Notifications Not Dumped Into the Configured OBS Bucket After I Configured the Resource Recorder?
To dump resource change notifications, you need to configure both Topic and Data Dump on the Resource Recorder page.
Check whether you have configured both of them.
Why Do I Receive a Notification When I Did Not Do Anything with a Resource?
After you enable the resource recorder, RMS notifies you of resource attribute changes, including attribute changes and data structure changes of resource attributes that were not a result of your own actions. Therefore, you are not advised to receive notifications from RMS using SMS messages or emails.
