Can I Recover My Disk Data If the Disk Is Unsubscribed from, Deleted by Mistake, or Released After the Retention Period Ends?

You can try the following methods to find your data back.

Method

Operation Instruction

Restoring data by recovering the disk

If you have enabled EVS recycle bin, check whether the deleted disk is in the recycle bin.

NOTE:

EVS disks released after the retention period expires will not be moved to the recycle bin.

Restoring data from a snapshot

If you have created standard snapshots for the disk, create a new disk from a snapshot. For details, see Creating a Disk from a Snapshot.

Restoring data from a disk backup

If you have created backups for the disk, create a new disk from a backup. The new disk will contain the backup data after being created. For details, see Creating a Disk from a Cloud Disk Backup.

Restoring data from a server backup

If the disk backup is included in a server backup, create a new server from the server backup. You can choose to restore data of the server backup to the original disk or a different disk. For details, see Restoring from a Cloud Server Backup.
