Scheduled Startup

Scenarios

This section describes how to start up a cloud desktop or a desktop pool periodically.

Impact on the System

This operation has no adverse impact on the system.

Prerequisites

Scheduled startup can be performed only on desktops that have been created and are in the Stopped status.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the management console.
  2. In the navigation pane, choose Scheduled Task.

    The Scheduled Task page is displayed.

  3. Click the button of creating a task in the upper right corner of the page.

    The dialog box of creating a task is displayed.

  4. Configure a scheduled task.

    • Task Type: Select power on.
    • Scheduled Task Name: This parameter is user-defined.
    • Execution Cycle: The following cycles are supported. You can select a cycle as required.
      • Specified time: The time is accurate to seconds.
      • By day: You can set the specific time, interval (days), and expiration time.
      • By week: You can set the specific date, time, and expiration time.
      • By the month: You can set the specific month, date, time, and expiration time.

  5. Click Next: Select Objects.

    The page of selecting target objects is displayed.

  6. In the Available Objects area, search for the target desktop or desktop pool name in the search box and select it.
  7. Click Create Now.
