Modifying MRS Cluster User Information
You can modify user information on Manager, including the user group, primary group, role permission assignment, and user description.
Modifying User Information (MRS 3.x or Later)
- Log in to FusionInsight Manager of the MRS cluster.
For details about how to log in to FusionInsight Manager, see Accessing MRS Manager.
- Choose System > Permission > User.
- Locate the row that contains the target user and click Modify in the Operation column.
Modify the parameters based on service requirements.
It takes three minutes at most for changes to user groups or role permissions to take effect.
MRS 3.1.2 or later:
- Users (except admin) cannot modify their own password policies.
- Password policies of locked users cannot be modified.
- Password policy changes for a user take effect the next time the user changes their password.
- After a user's password policy is modified, the password validity period is recalculated based on the new policy. If the remaining validity period is longer than the validity period defined in the new policy, the validity period is reset to the new policy's period. If the remaining validity period is shorter, the existing validity period remains unchanged.
- Click OK.
Modifying User Information (MRS 2.x and Earlier)
- Log in to FusionInsight Manager of the MRS cluster.
For details about how to log in to FusionInsight Manager, see Accessing MRS Manager.
- Click System.
- In the Permission area, click Manage User.
- In the row of a user to be modified, click Modify.
It takes three minutes at most for changes to user groups or assigned role permissions to take effect.
- Click OK. The modification is complete.
