Data to Be Imported Contains Chinese When DataArts Studio Is Used to Create a DWS Foreign Table

Symptom

A user uses DataArts Studio to create a DWS foreign table and specify UTF-8 as the OBS file encoding format. However, an error occurs when data is imported.

Possible Causes

The source file stored on OBS contains non-UTF-8 data.

Handling Procedure

Check whether the source file contains non-UTF-8 data, for example, Chinese characters. If the source file contains non-UTF-8 data, convert the source file into the UTF-8 format, upload the converted file to OBS again, and import the data.
