[September 1, 2022] Changes in the Free Trial Specifications of the HSS Basic Edition (Pay-per-use)

Dear Huawei Cloud customers,

Huawei Cloud will change the free trial period of the HSS basic edition (pay-per-use) at 00:00:00 on September 01, 2022 (GMT+08:00). After the change, the free trial period for each Elastic Cloud Server (ECS) is 30 days.

You can enable the HSS basic edition for free when purchasing an ECS.

If you have enabled the HSS basic edition (pay-per-use) before September 01, 2022 (GMT+08:00), the free period will end at 23:59 on September 30, 2022 (GMT+08:00). After the free trial expires, you can still use HSS to check server security once a month. This feature will be available in September.

Please notice that after the free trial period expires, the Huawei Cloud basic edition quotas (pay-per-use) will be automatically released, and HSS will not protect your servers.

If you want to retain or upgrade HSS security capabilities, you are advised to purchase HSS. So far, you can purchase the enterprise, premium, and Web Tamper Protection (WTP) editions. The basic edition will be enhanced to provide more functions, including vulnerability detection and intrusion detection.
