Upgrading the Version of a CBH System

A CBH system of the latest version has system optimizations or new functions. To use those functions, upgrade your instances in a timely manner.

  • For details about the latest system version, see What's New.
  • For details about how to query the current version of the CBH system, see Device System in About the System.

Precautions

  • Before the upgrade

    Back up CBH system data to prevent the upgrade failure from affecting services. For details, see How Do I Back Up Data of the CBH System?

  • During the upgrade

    The version upgrade takes about 30 minutes. Although the CBH system is unavailable during this period, there is no impacts on host resources managed on the instance. However, to prevent important data loss, you are not advised to log in to the CBH system during the version upgrade.

  • After the upgrade

    The CBH instance automatically restarts after the upgrade completes. You can then use the mapped CBH system.

    After the upgrade, you can use the configuration and storage data of the original CBH system. Version upgrading does not affect the original configuration and storage data of the CBH system.

Constraints

In the new version of CBH, the application publish function is optimized. After the upgrade, to use the application O&M functions as usual, install the required plug-in on the application publish server as prompted. For details, see Installing the RemoteApp Program (V3.3.26.0 or Later).

Prerequisites

  • You have obtained credentials for logging in to the management console.
  • A valid EIP has been bound to the CBH instance.
  • The CBH system data has been backed up.

    Before you upgrade, back up the CBH system data in the event of upgrade failures. For details, see Which Types of System Data Can Be Backed Up in the CBH System?

Procedure

  1. Log in to the management console.
  2. Go to the page for viewing CBH instance information by following the steps in Figure 1.

  3. Locate the row containing the instance you want to upgrade. In the Operation column, choose More > Upgrade.
  4. In the displayed dialog box, click OK.
  5. No manual actions are required during the upgrade. The upgrade takes about 30 minutes. During the upgrade, the instance status changes from Upgrading to Restarting.
  6. When the CBH instance status changes to Running, the CBH system is available.
