Repaying Outstanding Amount
If your account has an outstanding amount, you can view its details in the Billing Center. To prevent related resources from being stopped or released, top up your account in time. Only customers who sign a contract with Huawei Software Technologies Co., Ltd. or HUAWEI CLOUD Computing Technologies Co., Ltd to use HUAWEI CLOUD can repay online.
Pay-per-Use Products in Arrears
Generally, pay-per-use expenditures can be settled in hours, days, or months. When the settlement period ends, bills are generated and fees are deducted. If the account balance is insufficient, the customer's account is in arrears. However, the customer needs to pay the outstanding amount within a specified period. If it is not paid in time, the resources being used will be released and deleted.
Pay-per-use services will still be charged after suspension delay. Please release and delete unnecessary pay-per-use resources in a timely manner.
Example Scenario
Usually, pay-per-use fees incurred from 15:00 to 16:00 are settled after 16:00. Since the customer's balance is insufficient, the system fails to deduct the fees at 16:26. As a result, the customer is now in arrears state and the resource is frozen. However, the customer can still use the cloud service normally from 16:00 to 16:26. Pay-per-use fees generated during this period will be deducted after 17:00.
Enabling Balance Alert
To prevent resources from being frozen due to an outstanding amount, top up your account and back up your data in a timely manner. It is recommended that you set the balance alert function in the Billing Center. Estimate the alert threshold according to your resource usage.
- On the Overview page, turn on the Alert switch to enable the function. Click Modify and you can set a desired threshold.
- With the balance alert function, when the total amount of the available credit, cash coupons, and flexi-purchase coupons decreases to the threshold, the system automatically sends a text message and an email to you for maximum three consecutive days.
- You can modify contacts that receive the balance alerts at SMS & Email Settings > Finance > Account balance in the Message Center.
- An enterprise master account can set the threshold for its member accounts in batch. For details, see Setting Alert Thresholds for Member Accounts.
After receiving a balance alert, top up your account or disable unnecessary resources in a timely manner to avoid affecting the normal use of cloud resources or stop unnecessary fees from being generated.
