Operation Procedure
Figure 1 shows the basic DSS operation procedure.
- Before using DSS, apply for a storage pool first. For more information, see Step 1: Apply for a Storage Pool.
- After the storage pool you requested is available, create disks in the storage pool to make use of the storage pool space. For more information, see Step 2: Create a Disk.
- Attach the disks to servers. For more information, see the following topics:
- A disk cannot be used right away after being attached to a server. You must log in to the server and initialize the disk. For more information, see the following topics:
