Configuration Dependency
The execution of Java programs—except for internally developed applications—typically relies on third-party open-source software. The Configuration Dependency described in this chapter involve installing the relevant packages and driver dependencies required for the transparent encryption and decryption functionality at runtime; this ensures that plugins can be loaded and invoked correctly, and prevents errors caused by missing components during application startup or data read/write operations.
Here are common ways to add dependencies:
- Generally, place the bcprov-jdk18on-1.79.jar and encryption-proxy.jar files directly into the WEB-INF/lib directory of your web application; this method will suffice.
- If the third-party JAR files required by the program are located in a separate directory, extract the ZIP archive downloaded from the Downloading the Pre-release Plugin section, then copy the two files – bcprov-jdk18on-1.79.jar and encryption-proxy.jar – to the third-party dependency directory of the business system service.
- For a Spring Boot application where both the native code and its dependencies are contained within a single JAR file, you need to extract the ZIP archive downloaded from the Downloading the Pre-release Plugin section, then copy the two files – bcprov-jdk18on-1.79.jar and encryption-proxy.jar – into the BOOT-INF/lib directory of the JAR file.
Procedure
- Extract the ZIP archive downloaded for the Downloading the Pre-release Plugin; then copy these three files into the same directory on your Windows host, e.g., D:\Application-Plugin Integration.
- Place the self-developed JAR file into the D:\Application-Plugin Integration directory. Right-click on the file, select Open With from the pop-up menu, and then choose WinRAR, as shown in Figure 1.
- The structure of the open self-developed package is shown in Figure 2.
- Double-click the "BOOT-INF" directory, then double-click the "lib" directory to view the dependency packages for the currently developed application, as shown in Figure 3.
- Click the left mouse button to extract the `bcprov-jdk18on-1.79.jar` file, which is located in the same directory; then drag the file to the WinRAR interface and release the left mouse button. In the pop-up Compressed File Name and Parameters dialog box, change the Compression Method to Store, and then click OK (as shown in Figure 4). Repeat the same procedure to add the `encryption-proxy.jar` file.
