How Do I Apply for a Certificate for iOS?

  1. Create a developer certificate.

    1. Launch Keychain Access. From the Keychain Access dropdown, select Certificate Assistant > Request a Certificate from an existing CA. Create a certificate request and save the request to the disk.

    2. Create a developer certificate on the Certificates page.

    3. Select iOS App Development under Software.

    4. Upload the Certificate Signing Request (CSR) file created in 1.a.

    5. After the certificate is created, download it to the local computer and install it in Keychain Access.

  2. Create bundle IDs.

    1. Create a bundle ID for HWMSDKDemo on the Identifiers page.

    2. Select App IDs as the identifier type.

    3. Set Description and Bundle ID and select App Groups under Capabilities.

    4. Confirm the bundle ID and click Register.

    5. Create a bundle ID for ScreenShareExtension and select App Clip as the type.

    6. When setting the bundle ID information of ScreenShareExtension, set Parent App ID to the bundle ID of HWMSDKDemo and customize a product name.

    7. Set Description and select App Groups under Capabilities.

    8. Confirm the bundle ID of ScreenShareExtension and click Register.

    9. Create a bundle ID for ScreenShareExtensionSetupUI and select App Clip as the type. When setting the bundle ID information, set Parent App ID to the bundle ID of HWMSDKDemo and customize a product name.

    10. Set Description and select App Groups under Capabilities.

    16. Edit the bundle ID of HWMSDKDemo, click Configure next to App Groups, select the created app group, and save the settings.

    17. Edit the bundle ID of ScreenShareExtension, click Configure next to App Groups, select the created app group, and save the settings.

    18. Edit the bundle ID of ScreenShareExtensionSetupUI, click Configure next to App Groups, select the created app group, and save the settings.

  3. Create description files.

    1. Create a description file for HWMSDKDemo on the Profiles page.

    2. Select iOS App Development as the profile type.

    3. Select the bundle ID, certificate, and devices to be included.

    4. Configure the profile information, click Generate, and download the profile to the computer.

    5. Create a profile for ScreenShareExtension. Set the profile type to iOS App Development, and select the bundle ID, certificate, and devices to be included.

    6. Configure the profile information, click Generate, and download the profile to the computer.

    7. Create a profile for ScreenShareExtensionSetupUI. Set the profile type to iOS App Development, and select the bundle ID, certificate, and devices to be included.

    8. Configure the profile information, click Generate, and download the profile to the computer.
