Description
POE/4/PDINVALIDCLASS: OID [OID] PD with invalid IEEE class and power denied.(IfIndex=[INTEGER], Interface="[OCTET]")
The system detects that the PD class is invalid.

Impact on the System
Services are not affected.
Possible Causes
Cause 1:
The PD may not comply with standards, whereas the switch supports 802.3af and 802.3at. In this case, the PD class cannot be identified by the switch.
Cause 2:
The PD hardware is faulty.
Cause 3:
The PoE chip of the device is faulty.
Procedure
- Run the poe legacy enable command on the interface to enable compatibility detection and then check whether the alarm is cleared.
If so, the alarm handling ends.
If not, go to step 2.
- Replace the PD with a standard PD and then check whether the alarm is cleared.
If so, the alarm handling ends.
If not, collect alarm information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
