Managing a Triggered Task
Scenarios
This section describes how to add, delete, and modify a triggered task created by the administrator.
Procedure
Checking Whether a Triggered Task Is Enabled
indicates that the triggered task is enabled.
indicates that the triggered task is disabled.
- Log in to the console.
- In the navigation pane, choose Tasks > Triggered Tasks.
The Triggered Tasks page is displayed.
- Perform the operations in Table 1 as required.

Procedure
Description
Stopping a desktop
- Set Task Type to Shutdown.
- Enter the name of the triggered task. The value can contain a maximum of 255 characters.
- Select a trigger scenario as required.
- After desktop creation
- After desktop rebuilding
- After user reassignment
- Desktop not in use
- Set the waiting time. The value must range from 0 to 43,200.
- Enter the description as required.
- Click Next: Select Object. The Select Object page is displayed.
- Select All desktops, Desktop, Desktop pools, or Desktop tags from the Available Objects drop-down list box, and select the objects to which the policy is to be applied in the list below.
- Click Create Now.
Administrators can configure a triggered task to shut down cloud desktops.
Restarting a desktop
- Set Task Type to Shutdown.
- Enter the name of the triggered task. The value can contain a maximum of 255 characters.
- Select a trigger scenario as required.
- After desktop creation
- After desktop rebuilding
- After user reassignment
- Desktop not in use
- Set the waiting time. The value must range from 0 to 43,200.
- Enter the description as required.
- Click Next: Select Object. The Select Object page is displayed.
- Select All desktops, Desktop, Desktop pools, or Desktop tags from the Available Objects drop-down list box, and select the objects to which the policy is to be applied in the list below.
- Click Create Now.
Administrators can configure a triggered task to restart cloud desktops.
Hibernating a desktop
- Set Task Type to Shutdown.
- Enter the name of the triggered task. The value can contain a maximum of 255 characters.
- Select a trigger scenario as required.
- After desktop creation
- After desktop rebuilding
- After user reassignment
- Desktop not in use
- Set the waiting time. The value must range from 0 to 43,200.
- Enter the description as required.
- Click Next: Select Object. The Select Object page is displayed.
- Select All desktops, Desktop, Desktop pools, or Desktop tags from the Available Objects drop-down list box, and select the objects to which the policy is to be applied in the list below.
- Click Create Now.
Administrators can configure a triggered task to hibernate cloud desktops.
