What Is Data Integrity Check?
Database table data tamper-proofing and integrity validation are core security measures designed to ensure data trustworthiness and availability; they effectively mitigate risks such as unauthorized data modification or deletion, thereby safeguarding the authenticity and validity of business data throughout its entire lifecycle.
This module primarily performs data validation through hash verification and data comparison checks, generating a unique checksum for the data and periodically comparing these checksums to promptly detect covert tampering or data anomalies. It not only safeguards against intentional or unintentional human tampering or operational errors but also mitigates data corruption caused by system anomalies, thereby ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and immutability of database table data, and supporting business stability as well as data integrity requirements such as secure evaluation and secure migration.
Typical use cases:
- Data tamper-proofing and integrity security requirements.
- The Application and Data Security requirement under the Secure Assessment and Secure Improvement program.
