Adding a Customer to the Marketing Message Unsubscription List

After a customer rejects receiving multimedia marketing messages, a tenant space administrator can add the customer to the marketing message unsubscription list and remove the customer from the multimedia marketing list to ensure that the customer does not receive multimedia marketing messages within a specified period.

Method 1: Adding a Customer to the Marketing Message Unsubscription List

  1. Sign in to the AICC as a tenant administrator and choose Configuration Center > Call Config > Marketing Opt-out List.
  2. Click to add a customer to the marketing message unsubscription list.

    • Media Type: Select WhatsApp.
    • Contact: If Media Type is set to SMS or WhatsApp, enter a mobile number. If Media Type is set to Email, enter an email address.
    • Marketing Category: The options are obtained from Configuration Center > Call Config > Marketing Category Management.
    • Validity Time: A customer does not receive multimedia marketing messages within a specified period.
    • Remarks: Customize this parameter.

  3. Click Save. The customer is added to the marketing message unsubscription list successfully.

Method 2: Adding Customers to the Marketing Message Unsubscription List Through a Multimedia Marketing Task

  1. Sign in to the AICC as a tenant administrator and choose Outbound Call > Multimedia Marketing.
  2. Click New. The Create Multimedia Marketing Task page is displayed.

    1. Marketing Task: Enter a name.
    2. Task Type: Select Marketing.
    3. Media Type: Select WhatsApp.
    4. Marketing Category: Configure the number of marketing message unsubscription days by binding a marketing category. The marketing category can be created under Configuration Center > Call Config > Marketing Category Management.

      If a multimedia marketing task is not bound to any marketing category, the value of the tenant parameter Marketing Unsubscription Duration is used. The default value of the tenant parameter is 30.

  3. Click Next and set the marketing policy and follow-up personnel.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Click Import Data and enter customers' WhatsApp accounts.
  6. Click Publish to release the multimedia marketing task.
  7. Log in to WhatsApp as a customer, and unsubscribe from the multimedia marketing message reception service after the released multimedia marketing task message is received.
  8. Sign in to the AICC as a tenant administrator, choose Configuration Center > Call Config > Marketing Opt-out List, and add a record to the list. The unsubscription duration is the sum of the number of unsubscription days set in the marketing category and the time set when the customer is added to the marketing message unsubscription list. The customer does not receive multimedia marketing messages within the unsubscription duration.
