Historical Session Overview

Scenarios

Each time an operation is finished, a historical session is generated to record the specific operations performed by the operator. Auditors can view these historical sessions to check whether operators performed any non-compliant operation. Historical sessions can be audited in video or text format. You can choose either format as needed.

Video recording audit

All activities performed by operators after they log in to managed resources through a bastion host are recorded as video recordings. Auditors can download and playback them in just a few clicks.

Text audit

All activities performed by operators after they log in to managed resources through the bastion host are recorded as detailed text data. Auditors can view the records online or export historical session records in just a few clicks.

The recorded text data is classified into the following types:

  • File transfer record audit: File operations, such as upload and download, on the logged-in instance are recorded.
  • Command audit: All commands executed on the logged-in instance are recorded.
  • Keyboard audit: Information entered through keyboards on the logged-in instance is recorded.
