Zero-Downtime Cutover
- Zero-downtime cutover of the application layer
If only the cutover of the application layer is involved, use the application gray cutover solution described in Cutover with Downtime.
- Zero-downtime cutover of applications and data one-off
Preparations:
- Applications and data have been migrated to Huawei Cloud.
- The applications and data have been verified to function properly on Huawei Cloud.
Cutover procedure:
- Modify configurations on the source and destination ends to point the applications at the source end to messaging middleware and data at both the source and destination ends. Then, do the same to the applications at the destination end. Note: Data consistency in the case of a dual-write is guaranteed by applications.
- Compare data consistency between the source and destination ends in real time.
- Migrate historical data to Huawei Cloud.
- Change the addresses corresponding to external domain names to redirect access traffic from the source end to Huawei Cloud.
