Global Configuration of AOM

AOM supports the following global configuration:

  • Metric Collection: whether to collect metrics (excluding SLA and custom metrics).
  • TMS Tag Display: whether to display cloud resource tags in alarm notifications.
  • Collector Auto Upgrade: whether to automatically upgrade the ICAgent to the latest version.
  • Remove Offline Collector: You can specify a period to clear the data of the collector installed on a non-ECS server. After the UniAgent is offline for the period you specified, the server it is installed on will be removed from the server list on the UniAgents > Other page.

Constraints

  • The global configuration takes effect for the entire AOM 2.0.
  • The TMS tag: $event.annotations.tms_tags variable configured in the alarm message template takes effect only after TMS Tag Display is enabled.
  • After metric collection is disabled, ICAgents will stop collecting VM metrics and related metric data will not be updated. However, custom metrics can still be reported.
  • Only the auto upgrade time of ICAgents on CCE cluster nodes can be configured.

Configuring Metric Collection

  1. Log in to the AOM 2.0 console.
  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Settings > Global Settings.
  3. On the displayed page, choose Global Configuration in the navigation pane. Then enable or disable Metric Collection as required.

Configuring TMS Tag Display

  1. Log in to the AOM 2.0 console.
  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Settings > Global Settings.
  3. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Global Configuration. Then enable or disable TMS Tag Display as required.

Configuring Alarm Rule Execution Recording

  1. Log in to the AOM 2.0 console.
  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Settings > Global Settings.
  3. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Global Configuration. Then enable or disable Alarm Rule Execution Recording as required.

    If this function is enabled, execution records of Prometheus and log monitoring alarm rules will be reported to the alarm-execution-history log stream under the lts-system log group. You can view the historical execution conditions of alarm rules, alarm trigger status, and notification status, content, and channels. This may generate some fees. Configuring Collector Auto Upgrade

  1. Log in to the AOM 2.0 console.
  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Settings > Global Settings.
  3. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Global Configuration and configure the removal policy for offline collectors as required.

    • If Collector Auto Upgrade is disabled, the ICAgents on CCE cluster nodes will not be automatically upgraded.
    • If Collector Auto Upgrade is enabled, the ICAgents on CCE cluster nodes will be automatically upgraded to the latest version within the specified time range.

      If a message indicating that the ICAgent version is too early is displayed on the AOM console, you can authorize an auto upgrade. The Collector Auto Upgrade option will then be enabled. The default upgrade time range is 00:00–02:00. You can set a time range for automatically upgrading the ICAgents on CCE cluster nodes. It cannot be shorter than two hours. You are advised to select off-peak hours.

Configuring the Removal Policy for Offline Collectors

  1. Log in to the AOM 2.0 console.
  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Settings > Global Settings.
  3. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Global Configuration and configure the removal policy for offline collectors on non-ECS servers as required.

    After the UniAgent is offline for the period you specified, the server it is installed on will be removed from the server list on the UniAgents > Other page. Default: 7 days. Range: 1 hour–30 days. Only integers are supported.
