Adding a Container
Scenario
When detecting that a BLU does not have enough resources, the system administrator needs to add BLU instances. Only one BLU instance can be created in a container.
This section describes how to add a container to a group to deploy BLU instances and improve the BLU processing capability.
Procedure
- Log in to FusionInsight Manager.
- Choose Cluster > Services > Containers, and click the Business Manager tab.
- In the list on the left, click the name of the group to which the desired BLU belongs.
- Click the Container List tab on the right and click Distribute Container to add an available container to the group. Then, click OK.
The total number of containers in the cluster is automatically determined by the hardware resources of the node where the Containers service is located (manual configuration is also supported). If no idle container is available, perform the following operations:
- Add hardware resources to the corresponding node.
- Change the number of Container instances that can be installed on the corresponding node.
- Install the Containers service on other nodes in the cluster.
- Delete the idle containers occupied by other groups.
