Deleting a BLU Instance

Scenario

When the resource usage of a BLU is low, you can delete its instances to release the containers for other BLUs in the group.

Procedure

  1. Disables a BLU instance.

    1. Log in to FusionInsight Manager.
    2. Choose Cluster > Services > Containers, and click the Business Manager tab.
    3. In the list on the left, click the name of the group to which the desired BLU belongs.
    4. Click the desired BLU in the BLU Name column on the right.
    5. In the Basic Information area on the State tab page, check whether a service exists next to Service.
      • If no, go to 2.
      • If yes, click the service name. On the page that is displayed, click the Provider tab, select all provider instances under the service, click Disable, and wait until the provider instances do not process requests. Then, go to 2.
        • If the provider instances in the BLU are providing services, deleting the BLU instances without disabling them may cause some requests to fail.
        • To determine whether the provider instances are still processing requests, you can check the logs of these instances or check whether the monitoring data of the provider instance nodes on the SGP Management page does not increase.
