How Can I Prevent Untrusted Source IP Addresses from Accessing TaurusDB?
- If malicious users on the public network obtain your EIP DNS name and database port, they may attempt to breach your database and cause further damage. To protect information such as your EIP, DNS, database port, database account, and password, you are advised to specify the range of source IP addresses in a TaurusDB instance security group to ensure that only trusted source IP addresses can access your instance.
- To prevent your database password from being cracked, specify a strong password according to the password strength policies and periodically change it.
