Step 2: Create a Fleet

A fleet is a collection of clusters. After creating a fleet and adding clusters to that fleet, you can centrally manage the clusters.

This section describes how to quickly create a fleet.

1. Log in to the UCS console.
2. In the navigation pane, choose Fleets. On the Fleets tab, click Create Fleet.
3. Configure the parameters.

   Table 1 Parameters for creating a fleet

   Parameter	Mandatory	Description
   Fleet Name	Yes	Enter a name containing a maximum of 63 characters. Start with a lowercase letter but not end with a hyphen (-). Only lowercase letters, digits, and hyphens (-) are allowed.
   Add Cluster	No	Select one or more clusters. If you do not select any cluster, an empty fleet will be created, and you can add clusters to the fleet later.
   Description	No	Describe the fleet.

4. Click OK.
