Huawei Cloud CodeArts Agent IDE deeply integrates AI into your development environment. With this intelligent partner, your programming experience will become smoother and more efficient.

Preparations

Step 1: Install and Log In to CodeArts Agent IDE

  1. Download the CodeArts Agent IDE installation package from the official website of CodeArts Agent.
  2. Double-click the installation program and complete the installation as prompted.
  3. Double-click the CodeArts Agent IDE icon to start the IDE.
  4. Log in to CodeArts Agent IDE.

    1. Click Get Started. The page for importing configurations is displayed.
    2. Import configurations.
      • If you are already familiar with Visual Studio Code, simply choose Import from VS Code to seamlessly bring your preferences and projects over.
      • If you want to try a brand-new environment, click Skip.
    3. Click Sign In. Your browser will launch automatically. Enter your HUAWEI ID and password.

      If you are using CodeArts Agent for the first time, the system will automatically activate the free package upon your successful login. If you want to unlock more advanced features, you can upgrade your package at any time from the Subscriptions page.

Step 2: Develop a Web Application

  1. Create a project.

    The project name must start with a letter, and can contain a maximum of 64 characters. Letters, digits, hyphens (-), and underscores (_) are allowed.

  2. Enable AI-based automation.

    1. Click in the upper right corner to access the settings page.
    2. Choose Chats > Agents > Auto-approve, and click to enable the items required for automatic approval, including editing, browser access, and the web page content capture tool.

  3. Switch to Built-in > Agent, select a large language model, and switch to the Vibe Coding mode.
  4. Send your requirements to AI. 

    Implement a web application named todolist in the TestDemo_01 folder. The GUI must be clean, intuitive, and easy to use. The basic functions must be complete.

Step 3: Preview the Results with One Click and Verify the Results

  1. Open the preview. Find the generated index.html file in the Explorer on the left, right-click the file, and choose Preview in Browser.
  2. Verify the results. Your dedicated to-do list web page is now online. You can try it out.

    • Enter several daily to-dos and click Add.
    • Check off completed to-dos and delete finished ones to enjoy a smooth interaction.
