Bills

You can view the resource usage and bills for different billing cycles on the Bills page in the Billing Center.

Bill Reporting Period

  • Transaction records for yearly/monthly subscriptions are generated immediately after the subscriptions are paid for.
  • The usage of pay-per-use resources is reported to the billing system at fixed intervals. Depending on the type of usage, pay-per-use resources are settled on an hourly, daily, or monthly basis. For details about the billing rules, see Periodic Settlement of Pay-per-Use Products. Pay-per-use CSS resources are settled on an hourly basis.
  • Fee deduction for pay-per-use resources may occur later than the settlement period. For example, if a cluster is deleted at 08:30, the fees incurred during 08:00 to 09:00 are usually deducted at around 10:00. On the Bills page of the Billing Center, select the Bill Details tab. Expenditure Time in the bill indicates the time when the pay-per-use resource is used.

Querying Bills by Resource Name

  1. Log in to the CSS management console.
  2. In the navigation pane on the left, expand Clusters. Select a cluster type based on the target cluster. The cluster list is displayed.
  3. In the cluster list, select the target cluster and copy the resource name.

Verifying the Resource Usage

Assume that you purchased a pay-per-use Elasticsearch cluster with only one data node (ess.spec-4u8g, high I/O, 40 GB) at 10:09:06 on April 8, 2023, and deleted it at 12:09:06 on April 8, 2023.

  • Cluster transaction records

Pay-per-use CSS clusters are billed by the second but the bill is settled hourly. You can check the transaction records against the actual usage. For details, see Table 1.
