EVS Billing

You will be billed for the storage capacity based on the disk type and for how long you use a disk. There are yearly/monthly and pay-per-use billing modes, and you can change the billing mode if needed.

The disk usage is calculated by the second but billed every hour. If your usage is less than an hour, you are billed based on the actual duration consumed.

Billing for capacity expansion

Disk capacity can be expanded.

You need to pay for the price difference.

Postpaid

You will be billed for the new capacity after the expansion is complete.

Billing for performance change

The disk performance (throughput and IOPS) does not support yearly/monthly billing.

For yearly/monthly EVS disks that allow you to configure the disk performance, yearly/monthly billing only applies to the disk capacity, and the disk performance is billed on a pay-per-use basis. This is also true after a performance change.

The disk performance can only be billed on a pay-per-use basis.

You need to pay for the price difference.

Billed Usage Period

Billing starts

You will be billed for the EVS disks right after you have purchased them.

Billing ends

  • For a yearly/monthly disk, the billing ends after the disk is successfully unsubscribed from, and you will be refunded based a certain ratio. For details, see Unsubscriptions.
  • For a pay-per-use disk, the billing ends after the disk is successfully deleted.
