Shared Data Package Usage Guidelines

Overview

A shared data package provides a quota for data usage. Such packages are cost-effective and easy to use. Shared data packages are applied immediately after purchase. If you have subscribed to pay-per-use EIPs billed by traffic in a region and buy a shared data package in the same region, the EIPs will use the shared data package. After the package quota is used up or if the package expires, the EIPs will continue to be billed on a pay-per-use basis. Learn more

Example

On June 1, you purchased three pay-per-use EIPs billed by traffic: EIP 01, EIP 02, and EIP 03. On June 2, you purchased a shared data package of 50 GB, which was valid from June 2 to July 2.

  • Your three EIPs can use the shared data package as long as the traffic they use from June 2 to July 2 does not exceed 50 GB. Starting July 3, the three EIPs would continue to be billed on a pay-per-use basis by traffic. Figure 1 shows this example.
  • If the used traffic of your three EIPs reached 50 GB on June 30, the three EIPs would continue to be billed, but on a pay-per-use basis by traffic, on July 1. Figure 2 shows this example.
