Technical Support for Third-Party Software Used on ECSs

Dear Huawei Cloud users,

Huawei Cloud provides technical support for certain third-party software to improve product serviceability.

Basic support plans do not cover third-party software. For details, see Support Plans.

Technical support includes providing suggestions on installing, configuring, and troubleshooting the following third-party software on ECSs:

  • Web services
    • Apache
    • IIS
    • Nginx
  • Database services
    • MySQL
    • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Network security services
    • Linux Iptables
    • Windows firewall
  • Other network services
    • SSH and Windows remote and routing access
    • SFTP and FTP
    • OpenVPN
    • DNS

The suggestions provided by the Huawei Cloud service team on the third-party software are dedicated for experienced system administrators or IT personnel. The Huawei Cloud service team is not responsible for installing and debugging the preceding third-party software, implementing the suggestions, or resolving the issues caused by the preceding services. The description is as follows:

Huawei provides suggestions or assists you in troubleshooting in the following:

  • Web services: port connection failures and access issues with error code 4xx
  • Database services: remote connection failures and changing listening ports
  • Firewall services: adding rules to Iptables and firewalls and opening ports
  • Network services: SSH or Windows remote connection failures
  • DNS: basic Linux DNS configurations

You are responsible for configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing services in the following scope:

  • Web services: optimizing configurations, editing pseudo-static rules, and debugging plug-ins
  • Database services: optimizing databases and SQL statements
  • Firewall services: constructing Iptables-based automatic detection and defense tools
  • Network services: improving SSH file transfer rate and limiting SFTP-based file transfer rate
  • OpenVPN services: interconnecting multiple OpenVPNs
  • DNS services: planning Linux DNS networking and optimizing network configurations
