- Storage Space per Broker
Space for storing messages (including messages in replicas), logs, and metadata. In a Kafka cluster, each broker uses a 33 GB disk to store logs and ZooKeeper data. Therefore, the actual available storage space is less than the purchased storage space.
Total storage space of an instance = Storage space per broker × Number of brokers
