Overview

The disaster recovery (DR) and backup solution is an important technical architecture for ensuring high availability of mission-critical service systems and data asset security. It has gradually evolved into a key support element of the enterprise informatization governance system. Data security and availability are the core of the DR and backup system. Huawei Cloud has integrated cloud disk backups, cloud server backups, SFS Turbo backups, and Workspace backups into Cloud Backup and Recovery (CBR).

Backup services provided vary depending on regions.

CBR enables you to back up data with ease. In case of a virus attack, accidental deletion, or software or hardware fault, you can restore data to any point in the past when the data was backed up. CBR also supports cross-region backup in some scenarios to ensure that data is distributed in multiple regions and protected at multiple points. For details, see Overview.

If a disk partition in the OS is damaged or data is lost and no snapshot is created in advance, you can use tools such as fdisk to repair the disk partition and restore data. For details, see Restoring Data of a Linux ECS.
