Changing FlexusX Instance Names

Scenarios

After a FlexusX instance is created, you can change its name as needed. You can also change multiple FlexusX instance names in a batch. After the change is complete, the FlexusX instances will have the same name.

Changing an instance name will not change the hostname in the OS.

Changing the Name of an Individual FlexusX Instance

1. Log in to the FlexusX console. In the upper left corner, click and select a region.
2. Move the cursor to the target FlexusX instance.
3. Click on the right of the instance name and change the instance name as prompted.

   Parameter	Description
   Edit Instance Name	Enter a new name for the FlexusX instance. It can contain only letters, digits, underscores (_), hyphens (-), and periods (.). Any change to the name is applied immediately.
   Allow duplicate name	If it is selected, the new name can be the same as an existing instance name. If it is not selected, the new name must be different from any of the existing instance names.

4. Click to apply the new name.

Batch Changing the Names of Multiple FlexusX Instances

1. Log in to the FlexusX console. In the upper left corner, click and select a region.
2. Select the FlexusX instances whose names you want to change.
3. Above the instance list, choose More > Change Instance Name.

   

4. Enter a new name.

   An instance name can contain only letters, digits, underscores (_), hyphens (-), and periods (.). Any change to the name is applied immediately.

5. Click OK.

   The instances renamed in the batch have the same names.
