Handling Device Alarms
DSC lists the detected device alarms. You can click Ignore or Mark as handled to handle the alarms.
Constraints
No alarm is generated for devices whose Status is Lost or New.
Prerequisites
You have added a device, and the Huawei agent plug-in is running on the third-party device.
Viewing and Handling an Alarm
- Log in to the DSC console.
- Click
in the upper left corner and select a region or project. - Choose Third-Party Device Management > Device Alarm. The Device Alarm page is displayed.

Description
Device Name/IP Address
Name and IP address of a device.
Type
Devices can be classified into the following types:
- Application data audit
- Application data security gateway
- Database firewall
- Database encryption
- Static database masking
- Dynamic database masking
Type
Device alarms are classified into the following types: (Alarm types sent by devices are determined by devices.)
- System alarm: alarms related to device system information (CPU and memory)
- Service alarms: alarms related to device functions.
Severity
There are 5 alarm severity levels:
- Critical
- Major
- Minor
- Suggestion
- Unknown
Alarm Time
Time when an alarm is generated on a device.
Status
- The alarm status can be Unhandled.
- When you click Ignore or Mark as Handled, the alarm disappears. This does not affect other alarms of the same type.
Description
Description of an alarm.
- Select one or more preprocessed alarms and click Ignore or Mark as Handled in the upper left corner of the alarm list.
Alarms that are ignored or marked as handled will not be displayed. Exercise caution when performing this operation.
