Managing Accounts of O&M Asset Repository
Users manually input asset account information to realize Web authentication and authorization for database operators and control personnel access. The onboarded accounts support automatic password filling for authorized users, enabling password-free database operation and maintenance and preventing database credential leakage.
Prerequisites
- Before account onboarding for an asset repository, create corresponding O&M Asset Control; the asset will then be displayed in the asset list.
- Enter valid database username and password and ensure accessible database connection.
Adding Managed Account
- Logging in to the Database Operations and Maintenance Management System using the sysadmin system administrator account.
- Select Ops Asset Management > Ops DB Account Binding on the left navigation bar to view the asset list.
- Click Account Binding to pop up the Add Account window for registering new database accounts. See Table Table 1 for parameter details. Figure 1 Adding new account
- Alternatively, click the account quantity in the Account column as shown in Figure 2 to access the managed account list page of the corresponding asset repository. Click Add Account at the upper right corner of the page to add managed database accounts for the asset repository.
- Configure asset account information in the add-account dialog box.
- After configuration, click OK. The system automatically verifies the validity of the account credentials and database connectivity. Upon successful verification, the asset account information will be saved.
- The system prompts the message Failed to connect to database. Please verify the correctness of username and password if an incorrect database username or password is entered or the asset repository cannot be accessed.
Related Operations
You may perform the following operations on the managed asset account page as needed:
- Delete Account: Click Delete to remove the onboarded account.
- Modify Single Account Password: Click Edit to reset the password as required.
After adding account information, you can associate database operators with asset repository accounts to implement Web authentication authorization and automatic password filling. Refer to Access Authorization for O&M Asset Repository for detailed procedures.
