Adding a Key

Within an encryption rule, you need to add a key that will be used during the encryption process.

Procedure

  1. Select the encryption rule that requires an encryption key to be added; then click the plus icon to add an encryption key, as shown in Figure 1.

  2. Enter the key information in the pop-up window; the instructions for adding new key parameters are shown in Table 1. Click Confirm to save the settings, as illustrated in Figure 2.

    Parameter

    Description

    Secret Key Name

    Users can specify a custom key name according to their requirements.

    Recommended naming convention: name based on the key source; e.g.:

    • Local key
    • From Huawei KMS

    Encryption Algorithm

    The encryption rule to which the current key belongs cannot be modified.
