Plugin Synchronization Management

Plugin Synchronization Management offers two core capabilities.

  • Manage the plugin whitelist to provide security controls for plugins.
  • Plugin client monitoring – monitor which plugins are deployed and where they are used.

Plugin Whitelist Management

Plugin whitelist management is a security control feature for plugin applications, designed to prevent unauthorized copying or deployment of plugins, thereby safeguarding against viewing or manipulating plaintext database data.

  1. Logging In to the Database Encryption System using the system administrator (sysadmin) account .
  2. Select Project Management from the left navigation tree.
  3. Hover your mouse over the item that needs to be configured, then click Enter on that item.
  4. In the left-side navigation tree, select Encryption Settings> Plugin synchronization management, as shown in Figure 1. The plugins can be deployed and accessed on devices with IP addresses ranging from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.5.

  5. Click Edit to modify the network segment; the default network segment ranges from 1.0.0.0 to 255.255.255.255.
  6. After successful addition, the server associated with the IP address listed in the list can retrieve rules normally when using the encryption plugin, enabling transparent encryption and decryption.

Plugin Client Monitoring

  1. After the user's business system installs the configuration plugin and starts the service, a client list will be displayed as shown in the figure below .
  2. Display relevant client information, as shown in Figure 2.
