Upgrade Management

If you need to use the new version, you can upgrade it through the system upgrade feature.

Common upgrade use cases include:

  • The old version has functional and security issues that require upgrading to the new version for resolution.
  • The user needs to use certain new features and must upgrade to the new version.

Prerequisites

If the new version updates the encryption algorithm or key, a direct upgrade may cause data decryption issues. It is recommended to decrypt all tables before upgrading.

Upgrading System

  1. Logging In to the Database Encryption System using the system administrator sysadmin account.
  2. In the left navigation bar, select System Management > Upgrade Management.
  3. Check the upgrade management page to see if a new version is available.
  4. Click Import.
  5. Upload the system upgrade package. Contact technical support to obtain the upgrade package.

  6. After successful upload, the system will automatically decompress and replace the files and restart the service.
