Overview

GaussDB(DWS) is developed based on the open-source PostgreSQL ecosystem. DAS, commonly used for cluster connection, works with many engines and uses open-source components. So, GaussDB(DWS) syntax is not completely compatible with DAS syntax, which can cause some function issues and make it hard to adapt to DAS. On GaussDB(DWS), you can only perform cluster O&M operations. Using existing clusters, such as data access, development, and processing, depends on services, but functions of these services are incomplete.

GaussDB(DWS) provides a one-stop data development tool, that is, the GaussDB(DWS) online SQL editor, for data development, access, and processing.
