Creating a Task Group

For tasks targeted at different modules or scenarios in the same project, you can group the tasks for easy management in CodeArts Check. A group named Ungrouped is automatically created along with the first created group to store ungrouped tasks.

Constraints

  • You can create a maximum of 100 groups.
  • A group consists of a maximum of three levels of directories.
  • You have the permission to edit code check tasks.

Creating a Group

  1. Access CodeArts Check.

    If there is no group in the project, click Create now. In the displayed window, click to create a group.

    If the project already has groups, click . In the displayed window, click to create a group.

  2. Set a group name and click . The group is created.

    Notes:

    • The group name can contain 3 to 128 characters, including letters, digits, periods (.), hyphens (-), underscores (_), and spaces.
    • The group name must be unique.

  3. Click Close.

Managing Groups

  1. Access CodeArts Check through a project.
  2. Click All Groups to expand the group list.
  3. In the Group area, All Groups is the root node and the Ungrouped group is the default group that cannot be deleted or modified. Click . In the displayed dialog box, you can perform the following operations:

    • Move the cursor to the target group name and click on the right to add a subgroup. A maximum of three levels can be added.
    • Click to edit the group name.
    • Click to move up, move down, or delete a group at a level. Upon deleting a group, all subgroups within it are deleted, but tasks in each subgroup are not affected. All tasks in the group are subsequently moved to the default Ungrouped group.

    After operations, click Close.

  4. Click a group name in the Group area. The tasks contained in the group are displayed on the right of the page.
  5. In the task list, select the tasks to be grouped (a maximum of 10 tasks can be selected) and click Move To.

    By default, new tasks are in the Ungrouped group. You need to move them to the required group.

  6. In the Move To window, select the name of the group to which the task is moved.
  7. Click OK to move tasks to the specified group.
