Masking an Alarm Based on an Alarm Record

You can quickly mask an alarm based on an alarm record. When you create a masking rule from an alarm record, the default basic settings of the masking rule come from the alarm resource and alarm policy of that alarm. You can set the masking time as needed. This simplifies the use of alarm masking rules.

Masking an Alarm

  1. Log in to the Cloud Eye console.
  1. In the navigation pane, choose Alarm Management > Alarm Handling.

In some regions, the path is Alarm Management > Alarm Records.

  2. On the Alarm Records page, locate the target alarm record, and click Mask Alarm in the Operation column.
  3. On the Create Alarm Masking page, enter a name and select the alarm masking duration.
    • If the alarm type is Metric, Masked By is set to Policy by default. The alarm policy and resource are the same as those in the current alarm record.
    • If the alarm type is Event, Masked By is set to Event by default. The alarm source and resource are the same as those in the current alarm record.
  4. Click OK. On the Alarm Masking page, the alarm masking rule is added to the list.
