Configuring Test Coupons

You can configure test coupons for your customers as well as for customers of your managed resellers. The configured coupons can be canceled, copied, deleted, and viewed. After obtaining test coupons, customers can use them to initiate testing activities.

  • You are responsible for tracking and completing customer testing activities based on the testing requirements raised by customers.
    1. Test configuration management: Communicate with customers about their requirements and promptly initiate test coupon configuration.
    2. Test execution management: Test execution includes but is not limited to making and adjusting testing plans, handling testing requirement changes, and ensuring proper allocation and effective use of test resources.
    3. Test result management: After the test is complete, you need to communicate with the customer to promote the transition to commercial use or promptly release related test resources.
  • If you failed to track the customer's test progress and test coupon usage, resulting in issues such as the customer's test being affected or incurring fees, you shall be responsible for handling the resource suspension or arrears. Huawei reserves the right not to handle such issues.
  • The system administrator and financial specialist have the permission to configure test coupons.
  1. Access the test coupon configuration page.

    (a) Use your partner account to log in to Huawei Cloud.

    b) Click Partner Center in the drop-down list of your account name in the upper right corner.

    c) Choose Sales > Financial Information > Coupons on the top navigation bar. Select the Test Voucher Configuration tab on the displayed page.

  2. Click Create Configuration.

  3. Enter the configuration information.

    When selecting a customer name, enter the complete company name for matching. Abbreviations cannot match the correct company.

  4. Click Submit and wait for the Huawei contact person to review it.

    • If you click Save Draft, you can find this configuration in the list and edit it again until you submit it. After submission, you cannot directly modify the configuration. You must first revoke it before you can modify it again.
    • After the review is complete, the specified customer can use the test coupon. You can click View in the Operation column to view the process progress.

  • Copying a configuration: The process is the same as that of creating a configuration. Select a configuration and click Copy in the Operation column. The selected configuration data is directly copied to the new configuration for quick entry.

  • Revoking a configuration: Click Revoke in the Operation column to revoke a submitted configuration in the Pending Accept state. After the configuration is revoked, the status changes to Draft.

  • Viewing details: Click View in the Operation column to view the configuration details, including the process progress, customer information, POC project information, basic information about the coupon, coupon usage restrictions, configuration information, and operations performed on the configuration.

  • Deleting a configuration: Click Delete in the Operation column to delete a configuration in the Draft state. The deleted configuration will not be displayed in the list. Exercise caution when performing this operation.

  • Recycling a configuration: If a customer no longer needs a test coupon and the test coupon still has a balance, the partner can recycle the test coupon. After the test coupon is recycled, the customer cannot use it anymore.
